Shilpa Shetty, the tall leggie beauty of Bolly Cinema, was born on the 8th June, 1975, in Mangalore, India, is an Indian film actress and former model. Shilpa Shetty’s father is Mr. Surendra Shetty, who is pharmaceutical business and mother, Mrs. Sunanda Shetty, home-maker. Shilpa is having one younger sister, Shamitha Shetty, who is also a Bollywood upcoming actress. Shilpa completed her schooling from St. Anthony Girls' High School, Chembur, Mumbai and later attended Podar College, Mumbai. Shilpa is a trained classical dancer and active in sports, who has earned a black belt in Karate. Before coming into movies, Shetty was doing modelling for Limca in 1991 at age 16. Shilpa’s debut movie in Bollywood was Baazigar, in 1993, which has become a big hit of Bolly Cinema. Uptill, Shilpa has appeared in more than 50 Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language films. Shetty was crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother TV show in 2007 in Britan, after an international racism controversy involving her and fellow contestants. Apart from this, Shilpa was involved in an open kiss scene with Richard Gere during an AIDS-awareness on 15.4.2007, which has led to burning her effigies for breaking the tradions and cultures of India.
