Manisha Koirala, the blossoming smile beauty of Bollywood, was born on 16th August, 1970, in Kathmandu, Nepal, is an Indian Actress. Coming from a politically prominent Koirala family, Manisha’s grandfather is Mr. Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala was the Prime Minister of Nepal during the late 50s-early 60s, as well as two of her great uncles, Girija Prasad Koirala and MP Koirala. Manisha Koirala completed her schooling at Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi and Vasant Kanya Mahavidhyalaya (VKM) Varanasi by staying with her grandmother in Varanasi. Manisha is also an accomplished Bharatnatyam and Manipuri dancer. Before entering into Bollywood, Manisha acted in Nepali movie, Pheri Bhetaula in 1989. And, with Saudagar in 1991, Manisha started her career in Bollywood. Not only in Bollywood, Manisha is so popular in South movies and had a credit with number of hit movies in Kollywood and Tollywood. Manisha Koirala was appointed as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador in 1999 for her active participation in social work and organizations such as women’s rights, prevention of violence against women, and also to prevent the human trafficking of Nepali girls for prostitution.
