Preity Zinta, the dimple beauty of Bolly Cinema, was born on the 31st January, 1975, in Shimla, India, is an Indian film actress and former model. Preity’s father, Mr. Durganand Zinta, was an officer in the Indian Army, who was died in a car accident, when she was at age of 13. And, mother, Mrs. Nilaprabha Zinta was severely injured in that accident and bed ridden for two years. Preity studied at the Convent of Jesus and Mary boarding school in Shimla. After completion of graduation from the boarding school at age 18, Preity Zinta enrolled at St Bede's College in Shimla. She graduated college with an English honours degree, and then started a graduate programme in psychology. She earned a postgraduate degree in criminal psychology, but later took up modeling. Zinta’s turning point in her life is for advertising for Perk chocolates. With this, Preity became so popular in model world and chances came one after another to act in Bollywood. Preity’s first movie was Dil Se in 1998 directed by ace director, Mani Ratnam, which has become a huge hit. Apart from acting in Bollywood movies, Preity Zinta has done couple of movies in Telugu and Tamil Films also.
