Sushmita Sen’s father is Mr. Shubeer Sen, a former Indian Air Force Wing Commander and mother, Mrs. Subhra Sen, worked as a fashion artist and jewelery designer. She has a brother, Rajeev Sen and a sister, Neelam Sen. Sushmita attended school at Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute. At the age of 18, Sushmita won the title of Miss India in 1994 beating out Aishwarya Rai. Sushmita Sen represented India at the Miss Universe Pageant, held in Manila, Philippines, where she came out with flying colours. Sushmita’s first movie in Hindi was Dastak in 1996 and her second movie in Kollywood with Ratchagan in 1997. Sushmita sen adopted a girl, Renee, as a single mother.
